Bieber, Funny Or Die win Webby Awards

NEW YORK, May 4 (UPI) -- Justin Bieber, Arcade Fire, Lisa Kudrow, Team Coco and Funny Or Die are to be presented with Webby Awards in New York next month.
The ceremony will take place June 13 at Manhattan's Hammerstein Ballroom.
The panel that nominates and selects the Webby Award winners is comprised of Web industry experts, including Internet pioneer Vint Cerf, blogger Arianna Huffington, Federated Media founder John Battelle and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone.

"This year's Webby Winners exemplify the type of profound effect the Internet is having on popular culture and the world at large," David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Webby Awards, said in a statement Tuesday. "From Arcade Fire's reinvention of the music video format with 'The Wilderness Downtown,' or the New York Times coverage of revolution in Egypt and the Middle East, the Internet is the driving force of change in the world today."
Bieber won the Webby for Comedy: Individual Short or Episode, while Kudrow's "Web Therapy" won the Webbies for Best Comedy: Long Form and Best Individual Performance in an Online Video.
Arcade Fire's "The Wilderness Downtown" won the Webby and People's Voice Award for Best Experimental and Weird Video.
Conan O'Brien's Team Coco writing team won the Webby Award and People's Voice for Best Celebrity/Fan Web site.
Will Ferrell, Jim Carrey, Dana Carvey, Fred Armisen, Maya Rudolph and Darrell Hammond's "Funny or Die's Presidential Reunion," directed by Ron Howard, won the People's Voice Award for Best Comedy: Long Form or Series. Carrey also won the People's Voice Award for Best Individual Performance in an Online Video for his portrayal of late President Ronald Reagan in the clip.
Funny or Die's "Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifinakis" won the Webby Award for Best Web Personality/Host, while the Web site won the Webby for Humor.
Snoop Dogg and LL Cool J's "Snoop Dogg vs. LL Cool J: The Ultimate Halo Smack Down" won the People's Voice Award for Best Branded Entertainment.
