Teen-pop singer and actress Selena Gomez, aka Justin Bieber's main squeeze, will co-host and perform at the MuchMusic Video Awards on June 19.
She joins previously announced performer Lady Gaga for the MMVAs, airing live at 9 p.m. ET, and will co-host the annual street party at Queen and John
Street in Toronto alongside MuchMusic VJs.
"I am thrilled and honoured to host the MuchMusic Video Awards," said Gomez, 18, in a statement. "I look forward to seeing all my Canadian fans and kicking off the summer together."
Selena Gomez & the Scene's third studio album is due June 28, her latest film Monte Carlo is in theatres July 1, and her We Own the Night summer tour has its only Canadian stop on Aug. 23 at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto.
Gomez is in her fifth season starring on Family Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place.
