Bieber in trouble with Qantas staff

Bieber in trouble with Qantas staff

Singer Justin Bieber has been involved in an incident aboard a Melbourne bound flight this afternoon.
Qantas cabin staff had to order Bieber and one of his security guards to take their seats after they started roaming the plane while it began taxiing at Sydney airport.
The Qantas flight attendant told Bieber that his behaviour was a security risk and that he had been acting like a child and would therefore be treated like one.

Harry plays jester while the Middleton sisters dazzle

PRINCE Harry reportedly lived up to his reputation as the jester of the royal family, giving an irreverent best man's speech that poked fun at his newly married older brother, as well as several other members of the royal family.
A select group of 300 guests invited to a wedding dinner hosted by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace heard Harry pay tribute to Prince William and his new bride Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, before he reeled off a series of jokes at his brother's expense.
Harry, notorious for his oddball sense of humour, even targetted his 90-year-old grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, joking that Kate had dwarfed him in her three-inch heels.

Not to be outdone, Prince William and his father also made jokes about each other in their speeches.
While there was plenty of deeply felt emotion, with Prince William declaring that he was ''in love'' with his wife, the male Windsors felt free to show their fun sides in the absence of the Queen, who chose not to attend the afterparty.
Her decision to retire early was seen as tacit permission for the evening celebration to be more of an informal event.

Harry was recently quoted in the British press saying he'd have to tone down his best man's speech if his grandmother was present.
The speeches of the Prince of Wales and Prince William highlighted their close father-son bond and love of ribbing each other.
Prince Charles drew attention to his son's baldness and, in return, Prince William highlighted his father's expanding waistline.
Prince Charles said he hoped his son would look after him in old age, before joking that William would probably ''push my wheelchair off a cliff''.
Whether or not that was an indication of his son's eagerness to assume the throne was unclear.
Prince Charles hired chef Anton Mossiman to cater, with guests enjoying crab to start, followed by lamb.

Prince Harry was said to have insisted that bacon and sausage sandwiches were available later in the night. An ice cream van was also said to have been hired to provide an alternative dessert.
The partying continued in the Grand Ballroom, the biggest of the palace's 775 rooms, measuring just over 36 metres by 18 metres, until well after midnight.
Adding to the frivolity, a giant disco ball was said to have been hung in the ballroom at the suggestion of the bride's sister, party-planner Pippa Middleton, much to the chagrin of more traditional courtiers.
The 29-year-old bride, wearing her second dress of the day by the designer Sarah Burton of fashion house Alexander McQueen, looked gorgeous in the strapless white satin gazar gown with its circle skirt featuring diamanté´ embroidered detail around the waist.
But she was upstaged by her glamorous younger sister who wore a long emerald green sleeveless dress with a jewelled embellishment and a plunging neckline.
The end of the party was announced with about 20 seconds of fireworks, greeted by loud cheers and shouts from inside the palace walls.
The newlyweds then retired to one of the suites in the palace to spend their first night as a married couple.
Their guests filtered out slowly through the side gates of Buckingham Palace between 11pm and 3am. Most of the departing guests got into cars and taxis that picked them up from inside the palace walls. Some couples were seen kissing on the back seat as they left. Others shielded their faces.
Harry, true to form, and presumably after having eaten several bacon and sausage sandwiches, was among the last to leave, taking his seat in a minibus about 3am, minus his bow tie. He was accompanied by a dozen fellow party-goers thought to have included Kate Middleton's brother James.
Harry's onetime girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was seen leaving in a car with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
A small group who left on foot, walking down Buckingham Palace Road to Victoria Station, said they'd had a ''great evening''.
The singer Ellie Goulding, best known for her version of Elton John's Your Song, was among those who performed at the event. Joss Stone, the singer from Devon, was also among the guests.

Justin Bieber and Mark Wahlberg To Star In Movie Together

I don’t think any younger Beliebers were even born yet when Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch exploded on the rap scene in 1991, but former new kid on the block-turned-rapper-turned-actor Mark Wahlberg is set to star with Justin Bieber in a new film, according to the latest from Bop and TigerBeat.
It doesn’t take much for a rumor about the Biebster to get started, but Paramount Pictures has confirmed that this news is actually solid. There isn’t a whole lot of info about the film at this time, but it’s going to focus on street basketball and Wahlberg is going to be cast as a “reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment.” I’m guessing that means Justin is going to be a troubled inner-city kid who discovers basketball is the road to peace and self-improvement. Hey! I’m not knocking it, but it’s a formula that’s been used numerous times. It still has potential to be good.
Wahlberg has also said that neither he nor Justin will be doing any singing or dancing in the film, but that doesn’t mean the Biebster won’t be cranking out something for the soundtrack. Maybe Mark will even dust off his rap roots for a Justin/Marky Mark duet.

Justin Bieber under attack from flying eggs in Concert

Justin Bieber has come under attack, from flying eggs.

Justin was performing at Sydney’s Acer Arena on Friday night, when six of eggs were launched from the crowd. It would seem though that thousands of die-hard screaming fans were not enough to deter the egg-thrower.

A helper quickly cleaned up the mess from flying eggs before the show went on.

Eggs were thrown from the crowd.

Fortunately those flying eggs didn’t land on his face.
Who did this? :(

Hems and haws at royal wedding

Kate-Will.jpgFinally! The Gown and other guests to the British Royal wedding dissected

It's Sarah Burton!
Just in time for Catherin
e Middleton to step out of Queen Elizabeth's Rolls Royce, her best kept secret was out - the designer of her wedding dress. It was Sarah Burton who recently took over the reins of British design house Alexander McQueen. She was tipped to be one of the most favoured designers and was responsible for the Grace Kellyesque lace and silk creation. While classic and demure, it was a bit of let-down after all the hype and secrecy.
While fashion watchers expected the gown to be fluid and flowing, in keeping with Kate's personal style, the now Duchess of Cambridge went for flounce with a pleated trail. Keeping her shoulders covered demurely with lace, which extended to the bodice and then appeared on the base of the dress. Tiny silk buttons clasped the sleeves at the wrist. The soft veil was short and pinned in place with the 1936 Cartier Halo tiara, which Queen Elizabeth received as gift from her mother on her 18th birthday. The matching diamond earrings were a gift from her parents and held at the centre the acorn motif from their newly acquired coat of arms. In keeping with British royal tradition, her wedding band is crafted out of rare Welsh gold.

Eager to avoid oft-repeated wedding disaster, Kate insisted on doing her own make-up and did not veer away from her tried-andtested day look - a bit of blush, coral lips and slightly smoky eyes. She did go slightly overboard with the eye-brows.

Porkie sisters
Princess Beatrice's unfortunately maverick hat played a joke on her. Call it our Indian sensibilities, but frock after frock of indistinguishable wall paint colours had us yawning. The young royals had a chance to break the parade but instead Princess Beatrice wore fawn from head to toe, while Princess Eugenia's multicoloured lace, curiously stuffed hat (feathers, flower, a Gandhitopi and a bejewelled dragonfly) was eccentrically frumpy.

Someone tell her it's a wedding
With the freedom of owning her own label, you'd think Victoria would wear something less funereal. The navy sheath may have hidden her bump, but it was far too stark for a joyous occasion. Black Louboutins and black hat, and no smile. Victoria should have stayed at home and sulked.

Sister act
Steering away from tradition, Kate's sister and the maid of honour, Philippa Middleton, also wore a white Sarah Burton gown. The cowl-neck-column was accentuated with tiny buttons down the back, cap sleeves and lace trim at the neck. And that's where the good taste ended.

At-a-glance - Never say Never

He went from a regular boy with a talent to a world sensation who everyone wants.
The movie, Justin Bieber, Never Say Never is about Justin’s rise to fame and how he got there. It is definitely a movie that girls from all over America rushed to go see. The story of his life shows how he went from nothing to something and it was really all thanks to the Internet and You Tube.
The director and choreographer of the movie, Jon Chu leads the movie up to the days before Justin Bieber sold out Madison Square Garden in 22 minutes. There are different guest stars in the movie who perform or even inspire Justin Bieber, including Usher, Miley Cyrus, and Jaden Smith.
The movie itself is a documentary, but it is one that viewers would not regret seeing. When I went to see it in theaters, I have to admit that I wasn’t so sure about it, especially when I heard it was a documentary, but when I was watching it, my opinion on Justin Bieber actually grew fonder.
The boy wonder went from being a regular Canadian boy to a Canadian boy who all the girls are in love with. The movie has a great lesson to it, which is to follow your dreams and believe in yourself, because if you really work at it, they can come true.
The movie is a 3D movie, and all the girls in the theaters were screaming when Bieber’s hand seemed tp run through the screen and was in arm’s length with the crowd’s. It was, overall, movie with emotion and spirit that showed the 17 years of Justin’s life in less than 2 hours. It showed that you have to work hard to get to where you want to be in life.
I would rate this movie with 3.5 stars, because even though it was good, and had a lot of detail, it could have had a little more with more of Justin Beiber talking about how he got to be world famous and his reactions to all of it.
The people who Bieber works with in the movie seem pretty intimidating, especially his vocal coach who seemed pretty fierce, but in a good way always wanting Justin to go far. She was harsh but only because she wants to see Justin go a long way and keep him healthy.
This movie can connect with some of those children out there that want to be something but think that they cannot do it, because no one knows they cannot do something until they actually try hard and work at it, and give it all they have. “Believing is seeing, but seeing is believing.”
In this film, viewers can tell how much Bieber is committed to his jobs and his fans and how he hates to let them down. He is an inspiration and inspires all of his fans to follow their dreams. He is one to really know that dreams can come true.

Are Justin Bieber & Mark Wahlberg Teaming for a Basketball Movie?

Is Mark Wahlberg the latest celebrity to catch Bieber fever? A few months ago, Ashton Kutcher was talking about making a TV show with the teen sensation, and now Wahlberg has revealed that he and Justin Bieber are pitching a movie. Specifically: a basketball movie.

Wahlberg told Vulture on Wednesday that he and Bieber were in talks with Paramount to make a drama about a "reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment." Deadline then revealed that the story would center around street basketball. So if we had to venture a guess, we'd say that Wahlberg will play a grizzled former hoops champion, and Bieber will play an unlikely up-and-comer who teaches him how to love the game again. Valuable lessons will no doubt be learned. More importantly: Bieber will get to show off his real-life basketball skills.

"The tone of the project is described as The Color of Money meets The Karate Kid," says Deadline's reporter, "and it came out of Wahlberg and (producer Stephen) Levinson seeing Bieber play ball in February during a celebrity game held during NBA All-Star Game weekend."

During that game, the 5-foot-five Canadian teen played surprisingly solid ball, earning him the title of team MVP!

Kind of makes sense that Wahlberg, 39, would see something in Bieber, 17 -- after all, "Marky Mark" Wahlberg was once a teen MTV sensation himself. But if you're hoping the two of them will rap together during pick-up games, then you're in for a let-down.

"I will not (sing and dance) and neither will he," Wahlberg says emphatically. "(I could if) I had to, but I've, you know, that's the last resort. I've worked really hard to get away from that whole thing, but you never know. I may just end up coming back full circle."

Ai Weiwei and Justin Bieber Make Time 100 List, David Bowie Gets Museum Show as "Artist," and More Must-Read Art News

– The VIP List: Imprisoned international cause célèbre Ai Weiwei is the sole fine artist named to Time magazine's annual 100-person power list, but there's a slew of other cultural figures in there. Here goes: actors Amy Poehler, Colin Firth, "Jane Eyre"'s Mia Wasikowska, Mark Wahlberg, Chris Colfer (of "Glee"), Blake Lively, and Matt Damon; musicians Patti Smith, Justin Bieber, (Korean pop sensation) Rain, Bruno Mars, Sting, and Tunisian rapper El Général (whose "Rais Lebled" was the anthem of Tahrir Square); filmmakers John Lasseter (of Pixar), Matthew Weiner (of "Mad Men"), producer Scott Rudin, and Rebecca Eaton (of "Masterpiece Theater"); novelists Jennifer Egan, Jonathan Franzen, and George R.R. Martin (of "Game of Thrones" books); designer Tom Ford; and Angry Birds creator Peter Vesterbacka, because face it, it's art. [Time]

– David Bowie Gets Museum Show: Ziggy Stardust himself will be the focus of an exhibition at New York's Museum of Arts and Design, to open on May 9th. It'll be called "David Bowie, Artist," because he's more than just a musician, you know: "From his roots in such performance-based practices as cabaret, mime, and avant-garde theater, to Ziggy Stardust, his revolutionary tour that synthesized theater, music, and contemporary art into a rock spectacle, as well as his innovative video collaborations, and his work in cinema and theater, 'David Bowie, Artist' presents Bowie as one of the most iconoclastic cultural producers of the 20th century," the museum has announced. [Press Release]

– Ned Rifkin Resigns as Blanton Director: On May 31, he will step down from his post of director of the Blanton Museum of Art — which he has held only since May 2009 — and will turn his attention to teaching and scholarly work at the University of Texas at Austin. "Much as I will miss working with the outstanding staff at the Blanton, I believe my eagerness to teach more and my desire to pursue meaningful research on a variety of topics will better suit me," Rifkin says. Prior to joining the museum he was the Smithsonian's undersecretary for art. Simone Wicha, the museum's deputy director of external affairs and operations, will fill the position of director on June 1. [Press Release]

Wahlberg planning a movie with Bieber

Mark Wahlberg is set to put singing sensation Justin Bieber's acting abilities to the test after recruiting him for a new film project.
The actor first contacted Bieber because his daughter is a big fan and even joked about resurrecting his rap career to record a track with the Canadian singer.
Now Wahlberg confirms he and Bieber are actually going through with a collaboration - but it will be on the big screen.
"Justin Bieber and I are going to do a movie together. We're putting it together. Yeah, we're doing it at Paramount. We pitched them the idea, and we talked to him about doing it and he loved the idea," he told NYMag.com.
"Been sending me videos - he sent me a video of himself and yeah, I think he's really talented.
"We're going to do something interesting. More of a drama .... I will not (be singing) and neither will he."
Bieber, who made his cinematic debut this year with his documentary film Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, is also lined up to star in a comedy with Ashton Kutcher.

Taylor Swift & Justin Bieber Get CMT Nominations

Country queen Taylor Swift is up 4 3 awards, with Carrie Underwood up for 2. Kelly Clarkson & Justin Bieber are both up for the same nomination for their duets. You can vote for your favorites online, the actual show will air on June 8th.
I am shocked that Justin was nominated for a CMT. I guess he released that single just in time for the nominations! I have a feeling that he will likely win it. Even more so than the award winning American Idol, Kelly Clarkson. After all, his fans are vote happy for anything he gets nominated for.
What do you think about some of the nominees? Do you think that Justin deserved a nomination for his song with Rascal Flatts? I don’t, but I guess they thought they earned it. Even if something happens where he does not win, it should be considered a huge honor for him. So he should be patting himself on the back for the nomination.

Bieber's 'Fantasy Factory' Rampage

Justin Bieber's adolescence has been far from ordinary but he proved to be just one of the guys in this exclusive sneak peek of 'Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory.'

Boxing, hooping and talking trash, the teen heartthrob went on a rampage inside Dyrdek's famous warehouse.

"I was trying to inspire [Bieber] to be like, 'You gotta be crazy,"' said Dyrdek. But the Biebs needed little instruction as shown in our exclusive clip of this never-before-seen footage.

Watch the entire episode dedicated to show outtakes when it airs on Monday at 10:30 PM ET/PT on MTV.

Justin Bieber Opens Heart About Girlfriend Selena Gomez

Justin Bieber has opened his heart for the first time about why he fell for girlfriend Selena Gomez and revealed: “It’s so important that a girl makes me laugh.”
The teenage superstar said: “She’s hot. Of course every guy likes the girl to be hot, which Selena is.
“But I like to mess around and pull jokes on people so I like to be around people who make me laugh and share my sense of humour. That’s Selena for sure.
“She is a really great person and I think she has the best smile in the world.”

Despite the movie confirmation, the Radar report indicates that Wahlberg didn't elaborate on the specifics of the Justin Bieber related project with New York Magazine but did add that the story will center on a "reluctant mentor in an inner-city environment" and that neither he or Bieber will sing in the drama.

The Biebs Is Nominated For A CMT Award

justin-bieber-cmt-awards.jpg What in the 10-gallon-hat-spurs-and-boots-tumbleweed hell? How did this happen?!
The nominees for the 2011 CMT Music Awards are out, and while Taylor Swift is in the lead with three nominations (as she should be), there is one person on the roster that no one expected to be there - Justin Bieber.
Now, if you are a Biebliever, this comes as no surprise to you, but the rest of you, let us assure you that the Biebs is qualified to be nominated. Not too long ago, he recorded a collaboration with Rascal Flatts on the reworked version of That Should Be Me. The CMT voters thought the video was so good, they nominated it in the Collaborative Video of the Year category.
Or, you know, they figured out that putting Justin's face up for 5 minutes on any award show will double their ratings.
Congrats, JB! Make room for it in the trophy case!

Justin Bieber having Back Injury. Sydney concert to be postponed?

(pic) Justin Bieber at the airport
Aussie beliebers face an anxious wait as Justin Bieber has treatment for a back injury, which could force him to postpone or delay his sold-out Sydney concert tonight.
Justin was advised not to go ahead with his opening show in Brisbane on Tuesday after injuring his back wake-boarding in Bali last weekend.
He arrived in Brisbane by private jet just 90 minutes before he was due on stage after delaying his departure from Bali to rest up.
“Crazy 24 hours of travel… back is messed up… but we are smiling. We finally made it. AUSTRALIA we are here”, Bieber posted on his twitter account after his plane landed.
A doctor and chiropractor inspected him before the show and reportedly advised Bieber not to go ahead with the concert, which features several complex dance sequences.
Despite the advice of medical experts Bieber was determined the show go on.
“Gonna rest up… back is killing”. he tweeted.
A spokesperson for Frontier Touring said they will await the advice of Bieber’s minders regarding his condition and whether his Sydney shows tonight and tomorrow would go ahead.

Details about his new album are still scarce, but Ne-Yo and Sean Garrett have previously mentioned their involvement in the project. “I am writing for Justin but I’m finding it kinda hard as it’s a long time since I was 16 years old,” Ne-Yo once said. “[The songs] are not so grown where it’s like, ‘He doesn’t know anything about that stuff,’ but it’s not bubblegum kiddie stuff, either.”
In a separate interview, Sean revealed what he has planned for the Beibs. “What we’re trying to do with Justin is to segue him into young adulthood,” he said. “The one great thing about Justin Bieber is the fact that his fans are going to grow with him. So we want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued and excited about him, but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well.” (Source: Aceshowbiz)

Justin Bieber, Amy Poehler Breakout Stars At Time 100 Gala

'Parks and Recreation' co-star Aziz Ansari calls Poehler 'tremendously talented and really a leader in her field.'
Amy Poehler attends the Time 100 Gala event on April 26, 2011 Although names like Bruno Mars and Oprah Winfrey made the final cut on this year's Time 100 list of the world's most-influential people, among the celebs MTV News spoke to at the ritzy black-tie gala in New York on Tuesday night, all the talk was about Justin Bieber and "Parks and Recreation" funny lady Amy Poehler.
La La Vazquez, with basketball hubby Carmelo Anthony, by her side, said, "Justin Bieber actually loves 'Melo. They're still waiting to have a one-on-one basketball competition so maybe we can make that happen this summer." She continued, "I think it's an honor to be included in such an elite group and be invited to come celebrate. When I heard we got invited, I was like, 'Oh yes, we are going to this event tonight.'

The Roots' drummer, Questlove, said that while some might be wondering why the Biebs made the list, he totally understands. "I'm excited to see everybody tonight," he said. "I'm very humble to be here. It's too many to mention. I drummed with Bieber before. I think that there might have been a question to why he was included, but it's obvious this is a person that went from YouTube sensation to viral sensation to international superstar — that's gonna be the next level of celebrity."
Leave it to Poehler's "Parks and Rec" co-star Aziz Ansari to write in his own candidate. Asked whether he prefers Bieber or South Korean pop star turned actor Rain, who also made the list, Ansari joked, "I don't know who either of those people are." Adding, "The most influential person to me is probably Waka Flocka Flame. He's on the list, right? I'm pretty sure he was on there."
All jokes aside, Ansari had only love for Poehler. calling her a "very inspirational person; tremendously talented and really a leader in her field."
Poehler's former "Saturday Night Live" co-star Seth Myers also had tons of love for her. "For me personally, Amy Poehler's the most influential on the list," he said. "I certainly wouldn't be invited to this without Amy Poehler, so that's a big step. Mostly just like providing coattails for me to ride on for years," he joked. "That's pretty key; that influenced me a lot."
About Bieber, Myers later added: "I quote him a lot. I say 'Baby, baby, baby' a lot more than I used to. I work in a maternity ward in my off-time."

Click Here! Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Spotted Sharing a Luxury Suite

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber in Kuala Lumpur
Have you heard the latest on these lovebirds? Yes, looks like they may have crossed the line when Selena Gomez joined Justin Bieber on one of the stops on his world tour in Malaysia. Selena stayed at the same presidential suite in Kuala Lumpur Hilton as Biebs!
According to sources, the two were “inseparable” during their stay in Malaysia and were also described as “such beautiful and loving couple.” Now, you might say, what could be wrong with that? Uh,uh, remember that Justin is still a minor at 17 and sharing a hotel room with his 18 year old girlfriend is quite out of his league. They are not in a mature relationship yet! And he’s not even old enough to rent a room on his own!
Apparently the two hardly ever left the room and when they did more PDAs were witnessed by the people around them. “They were cuddling, hugging, holding hands and, very apparently, totally in love,” as told by Susan Tan, Justin’s My World Tour promoter in Malaysia.
There’s no problem with being in love, right, peepz? But do you agree that they should be sharing a room at this point?

Donny and Marie Osmond Talk Vegas, Fame, and Justin Bieber

Donny and Marie Osmond Talk Vegas, Fame, and Justin Bieber
Donny & Marie Osmond have reunited for their first studio album together in thirty years. The duo is also keeping busy with their successful show at the Flamingo Hotel on the Last Vegas Strip, which has been extended through the end of 2012. The icons of music and television talked to Parade.com about their long career together, how their family keeps them grounded, and why the sibling rivalry is real. It's been thirty years since your last album together. Why the long wait? D: Well, Marie always wanted top billing and I wouldn't give it to her! To be honest, we've been so busy in her individual careers and this Vegas show at the Flamingo has spawned a whole new resurgence of the Donny & Marie brand. There really wasn't a reason to do a Donny & Marie album until now. M: After the Donny & Marie show, we did several albums together and then we went off and did our own thing. I went into country and Donny did his stuff, and we both did theater. We have our own lives, too. We have our families, our children, everything doesn't revolve on if you have a hit record, but there's no two people on this planet more appreciative than we are that we're still working after all these years. What kind of big brother was Donny growing up? D: Horrible! I think that was the reason behind the Donny & Marie sibling rivalry because I was always like, 'Marie do this, and Marie, do that' and over time she said, 'Ok enough of you!' and she went on to do her own thing. We have such a mutual admiration for each other on stage, but the sibling rivalry is real. M: I have eight brothers, so he was kind of one of the pack. I'm close to all my brothers, we have a great family, but I do think Donny and I have a uniqueness in the sense that we grew up doing the Donny & Marie show together. We've been through similar experiences. Working with Donny has been a blast, just don't tell him that!" What is working with a sibling really like? M: We really are having a great time. It's interesting. There's a chemistry. I tell everybody it's kind of like an acid pill. It's almost like a Vulcan mind meld or something, you just kind of click. D: What Marie and I do on stage is organic. Yes, there's a structure to the show, but when we go out there and we talk and we laugh and we have a good time and we tease each other -- that is all real. What can audinces expect from your show in Las Vegas? D: I've talked to quite a few people, even in the industry, and they've said that our show has pretty much redefined what Vegas needed -- and that is variety. We've been performing here since the beginning of time. We've brought such variety here and Donny & Marie have the ability to bring people back to a more innocent time and still give them a show that's up-to-date. M: It's a very personable show, and I think that's what people say the most when they leave. They go, 'Wow, that was entertainment.' People fly over from Australia and Asia and England just to come see Donny and Marie together. We see that we've been a part of their lives, but it's really important for them to see that they've been a part of our lives. It's funny when people come up and say, 'This is my bucket list to meet you,' and I'm thinking, 'Wow!' We have amazing fans. How do your children react to your iconic status? M: I think I'm just their mother, really. I think they're proud of me. My daughter works with me at the show here in Vegas, she designs my clothes for me and she's terrific. And when I lost my weight she was like, 'Oh, my mom is hot!' I think they like it because they can steal from my closet a lot more than they used to! D: My five-year-old grandson asked me the other day, 'Who's Donny? 'And I said, 'Well, I'm Donny' and he said, 'But, you're grandpa,' and I said, 'Who do you think Donny is?' and he said, 'Oh, he's that guy on TV.' They watch the old Donny & Marie shows all the time on DVD, so to them, Donny is a personality on television, but in another part of their mind, I'm their grandpa. It freaks me out to say I'm a grandpa, but I am! Marie, what's your one wish for your children? M: I think it's important that they follow their own dreams and find their passion. I think anybody who follows their passion will be successful. I tell my children to work hard, be ethical, get an education, and follow your dreams. Can you remember a time when you weren't famous? D: I really can't remember a time in my life when I wasn't on television. But there was a time when I didn't think I would be able to make it back into the music industry. It was Christmas of 1988, and I thought my career was over. I thought maybe I've gotta find another line of work because I've got kids to put through college. Then 'Soldier of Love' hit and they called it the comeback of the 80s. M: It's interesting. I guess I'm unique in the sense that I have been working 48 years in the business. I feel blessed. I've been in it all my life and I don't really know anything else. I've never really known it any other way and maybe that's an advantage. Maybe it's a disadvantage. I think the advantage is that I grew up in it, I had a great family, I had awesome parents, and I saw some of the good things and some of the bad things. I was really fortunate to work at the tail end of what I call the age of the amazing entertainers. I got to work with Lucille Ball, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, and Elvis. So it was a great opportunity to be an entertainer, not just a celebrity. What's your advice to today's young stars like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift? D: It's a bumpy rollercoaster ride. Hang in there buddy because if you can just maintain your integrity with your music and who you are, you can ride that rollercoaster and not get bruised. Don't take anything for granted. M: Keep working and keep reinventing yourself and have your passion. I've always said if you're not nervous before you go on stage to do a good job, than you shouldn't be going on stage. And take care of your instrument. People joke and call us wholesome, but I've watched many of my peers lose their talents and overdose and die and get so out of it that they couldn't even perform anymore. Be grateful for the gift you've been given. What's next for Donny & Marie? D: I'm going to do a one-man show this summer. It's the next thing for me to challenge myself as an artist. It's going to be stripped down and just me and the music. M: I love my work with the Children's Miracle Network. I'm one of the founders. That's probably my love and passion. I also have my new solo album -- it's my first inspirational one -- called I Can Do This. I'm giving all my proceeds to the Children's Miracle Network on behalf of my son Michael. I love being service-oriented. I think it helps you focus on what's real in life.

Privacy 2.0: We Are All Celebrities Now

Privacy is an endangered species.
Just ask teen heartthrob Justin Bieber. On a recent trip to Israel, he was hounded by photographers. "You would think paparazzi would have some respect in holy places," Bieber posted on Twitter.
Or actress Reese Witherspoon. In the May issue of Vogue, she says it is so hard for her to go out in public, she sometimes just stays in her car and cries.
Or the president of the United States. He pines for privacy. "I just want to go through Central Park and ... spend the whole day watching people," he told Hearst Magazines recently. "I miss that."
OK, OK. We know. Irony alert. Bieber is tweeting that he wants privacy; Witherspoon is on the cover of Vogue, for goodness' sake, and President Obama ... well, he ran for president.
Celebrities and politicians make their livelihoods by eschewing privacy and seeking full-frontal public attention. They are public figures by choice. (Duh. Winning!)
But what about the rest of us? In today's Facebooking Twitterverse — with the proliferation of cellphone cameras, community-building websites, photo-sharing apps and ever-expanding companies dedicated to exposing as much of our lives and predilections as possible — we are all becoming public figures whether we want to be or not. And it's changing the rules we live by.
Blurring Lines
"People, now more than ever, have become increasingly uninhibited with the information they share via online social media," says David Hector Montes, former outreach director of the Pro Bono Research Group at the Moritz College of Law at Ohio State University. "As a result, private citizens have large audiences to share information with, and public figures are more accessible."

Actress Reese Witherspoon is among a number of celebrities who yearn for privacy.
The prevalence of social media, Montes says, "has created a culture of over-sharing." And this "is blurring the lines between who is a public figure and who is not."
Montes first wrote about this line-blurring last year in a report titled: "Living Our Lives Online: The Privacy Implications of Online Social Networking."
"Much of our new networking occurs online, and accessibility to every remark and picture posted online has increased," he wrote. "Living life online naturally results in decreased privacy. How do we accommodate an interest in guarding privacy if our culture encourages and facilitates documenting virtually every aspect of our online lives?"
The line between fan and star is also blurring. Arguably, Chris Crocker — the emotionally supercharged advocate of Britney Spears in his virulently popular "Leave Britney Alone" video — became more famous overnight than a whole tier of actors who gained fame in traditional ways.
Everyone must be cautious about what information they choose to share online, lest they be the subject of the next news story about being fired for their Facebook comments.
A Proliferation Of Celebrities
This paradigm shift also came up at the "Innovation Uncensored" conference staged by Fast Company last year. On a panel, entrepreneur Sean Parker of Founders Fund observed that in the "pre-social-networking, pre-Internet era, celebrity was extremely scarce ... and it was highly valued. Now there's a proliferation of celebrities. Before the Internet and social networking, people wanted to be celebrities."
The number of "celebrities" has mushroomed, Parker says, and these days "normal people are starting to experience some of the downsides of celebrity without any of the upside." For instance, he says, it doesn't make it any easier for them to get a table at their favorite restaurant, but they do get harassed by people who know them from the Internet.
Eventually, the fact that we are all living very public lives could have long-lasting ramifications. For instance, Montes says, traditionally there have been separate rules in the court system for someone who is regarded as high-profile. "The burden of proof is higher in a defamation action for one who is a public figure," he says.
'Public-Figure Status'
But, Montes continues, "now that public-figure status can be bestowed upon anyone, even involuntarily, being careless with online privacy settings can set anyone up for such characterization. Practically, this means that everyone must be cautious about what information they choose to share online, lest they be the subject of the next news story about being fired for their Facebook comments."
So far, the courts have not broadened the definition of "public figure," according to Lee Tien of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a users' rights advocacy group.
The Internet does give every person increased access to the public sphere of discourse, Tien says, "but that doesn't mean we're in the same class as real public figures."
In the 'old days,' which weren't that long ago, it took effort to track people. Now we're tracked through our devices — like your cellphone or computer — and the issue is who has access to the data trail that already exists. That's a huge shift.
Improved ability to participate in public debate, Tien says, is still not the same as a special prominence in social or public affairs. The legal definition of "public figure," Tien says, is rooted in the notion that a person "is proactively seeking prominence."
But, he adds, the problems associated with privacy "are large and systemic, owing partly to the rise of commercial and governmental information gathering — a trend that predates the Internet — and partly also to the spread of technologies that routinely record what we do."
In other words, by enjoying the convenience of digital commerce and community, we are sacrificing safety, security and privacy.
"In the 'old days,' which weren't that long ago," Tien says, "it took effort to track people. Now we're tracked through our devices — like your cellphone or computer — and the issue is who has access to the data trail that already exists. That's a huge shift."
In the new privacy paradigm, we have a lot more in common with celebrities like Bieber, Witherspoon and Obama. Even if we want to be left alone to do something privately, without being approached or bothered, there are still legions of people — ad trackers, opinion pollsters and countless other nosy folks — who are our fans and followers. They are fascinated by our every move.
Coming Wednesday: With concerns that less and less of our lives are private, a privacy industry is rising — commerce that works overtime to give the rest of us some alone time.

Justin Bieber Sings With Joel Madden From Good Charlotte

Justin Bieber
Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden joined Justin Bieber on stage for a quick performance of Good Charlotte’s hit “Dance Floor Anthem”. Some people caught it all on video for those were not there for the show. You will find a video of it at the bottom of this post.
I am not much of a fan of Justin’s music, but you pretty much know that by now.I do feel bad for Joel, yet I know that he was having fun with Justin. I suppose that he did okay, yet I am still not a fan of the Biebs music by himself
What do you think about their performance together? Are you a fan of either one of them? Have you even heard the original version of the song? I am and have been a huge fan of Good Charlotte for more than five years now. So it is hard for me to hear others singing a song by a band that I have been a long time fan of.

Each brush is loaded with two hit songs. While one brush plays hit tunes ‘Baby’ and ‘U Smile’, another plays ‘Somebody to Love’ and ‘Love Me’.
Each song lasts for two minutes – the recommended length of time you are supposed to brush your teeth for. But you’ll have to wait until July to get your teeth into them when they finally hit the shelves.

Anyway, Chris Brown is rumored to hit the stage with Biebs at some point during this leg of the tour. In fact, he tweeted, "AUSTRALIA...we are coming...and there might be some surprises. LEGGO!!

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the song. I prefer their song "Up," which is on Justin's remix album. Listen to that here:
