Justin Bieber earned some major bragging rights at Ludacris' charity basketball game in Atlanta yesterday. Team Bieber made an amazing comeback to get the win over the rapper's team, and raised $10,000 for the Ludacris Foundation while doing it.
The Bieb had been trash-talking his pal Luda over Twitter days before hitting the courts, and he definitely didn't waste any time getting back online to announce the victory. He wrote: "we were down and then made a crazy comeback and even my man @carmeloanthony tried to win it at the end and couldnt take #teambieber"
And, the next eight or so tweets from the 17-year-old star were also about basketball -- though the star also made sure to acknowledge that the game was really about raising money for charity. "Felt great winning 2day. felt even better knowing we did it 4 #charity. thanks 2 all the fans who came out 2 support. #muchlove," he wrote.
Biebs added: "we made a lot of money for #charity today at the game. thanks to everyone who supported and to @ludacris for living as an example to others."
Then, it was back to bragging. But apparently the Bieb is quite the b-ball pro.
He dominated in February's Celebrity All-Star Game. The singer was named MVP of the tournament and even the announcer applauded Biebs for "looking like Steve Nash" when he made a sweet cross-over assist.
Even NBA star Chris Paul couldn't believe the teen heartthrob had it in him this time around. Paul tweeted yesterday: "Nah but 4real BIG S/O to @justinbieber for hoopin in the game 2day...didn't kno he could hoop like that AND he can handle the rock! #RESPECT"
The star seems to practice a fair amount even it's not a high-profile gig. He recently posted a Twitvid of himself shooting hoops, with his gal Selena Gomez there cheering him on.
